Abstract
The study discussed the rights of Omani women in social, economic, and political fields and their availability in Islamic education textbooks. The researcher designed a specific educational unit on women's rights in these three fields for the eleventh grade. One of the main objectives of the study was to identify the impact of a proposed educational unit in Islamic education textbooks at the post-basic education stage on raising awareness of Omani women's rights. The study employed both descriptive-analytical and quasi-experimental methodologies. The study tools included a card addressing Omani women's rights, content analysis of Islamic education textbooks at the post-basic education stage, the design of a specific educational unit on Omani women's rights, and the application of three scales to measure the impact: the first scale measured knowledge development, the second measured behaviour development, and the third measured attitude development. The study concluded the following: 1 .The results of the knowledge development scale revealed statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≥ 0.05) between the pre-test and post-test averages in favour of the proposed unit 2 . The results of the behaviour development scale also revealed statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≥ 0.05) between the pre-test and post-test averages in favour of the proposed unit. 3 .Similarly, the results of the attitude development scale revealed statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≥ 0.05) between the pre-test and post-test averages in favour of the proposed unit. The study recommends continuous development of the curriculum in Islamic education, especially at the secondary level, to keep pace with new events and developments, in line with the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. It also suggests understanding the educational needs of students to keep them informed of new events and developments, thus preparing them for the future effectively and protecting them from harmful and intrusive ideas .
