Abstract
Coastal tourism plays a vital role in shaping local communities and their economies. This study examines the economic impact of coastal tourism on local communities, considering its significance as a driver of economic growth, employment generation, and infrastructure development. Coastal tourism involving beaches and marine are always tourists' favourite spots to enjoy and find leisure. Because of the tourists' high demand, it unintentionally creates more job opportunities for the local community and boosts their economy by providing services, goods and so on to the tourists. Besides, it also provides exposure and awareness to the local community on how important it is to preserve and conserve endangered species and natural resources, which improves the local community's economy. By harnessing the economic potential of coastal tourism, communities can foster long-term growth, enhance livelihoods, and promote a resilient and inclusive economy. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the complex relationship between coastal tourism and the local community, providing insights for policymakers, businesses, and residents to foster inclusive economic growth, preserve natural resources, and ensure the long-term sustainability of coastal destinations.
