Akhmal Hakim bin Mohamad (Pseudonym: Kemilau Adiwarna) is a Malay language lecturer at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He received his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Malay Language for International Communication (MLCOM) from IIUM. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Malay Studies at the University of Malaya's Academy of Malay Studies (APM, UM).
Throughout his studies (at IIUM and UM), Akhmal Hakim has gained expertise in Malay languages and literary study, public speaking, poetry writing, performing poems and traditional Malay melodies, as well as hosting and organizing ceremonies. His interest in Malay linguistics and literature has resulted in the release of books, research articles, and poetry, the majority of which have been published by the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP). Akhmal Hakim's scholarly work consists of the book "Malay Language for Foreign Speakers: Intensive Module for Japanese Speakers", published by P&C Pekan Center (2021) in partnership with IIUM lecturers. Furthermore, Akhmal Hakim has been involved in Malay cultural activities and Sarawak ethnic dances since his school days. He has a profound interest and dancing skills and is a dance coach for Malay dances (Inang, Zapin and Joget) and Sarawak ethnic dances such as Ngajat (Iban), Rejang Be'uh (Bidayuh), Alu-alu (Melanau), Menyak (Melanau), Datun Julud (Orang Ulu) and Langgi Dayung (Bidayuh).
