Syed Marwan is an Associate Professor at the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He also serves as the Deputy Director at the Office for Strategy and Institutional Change (OSIC), where he plays a key role in steering the university’s strategic planning, implementation and monitoring, ranking and institutional performance, as well as change management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Finance, from the University of Melbourne. He later earned the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) qualification from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), followed by a PhD from IIUM’s IIiBF, with a research focus on Social Impact Bonds.
