My primary research interest is centred on oral cancer, with a strong focus on early detection and clinical studies exploring its various biological and clinical dimensions. In parallel, I am actively engaged in research related to oral implantology and orthognathic surgery, alongside interests in regenerative biomaterials and the integration of artificial intelligence in maxillofacial imaging and diagnostics. My recent work includes studies on nanoantibiotic-integrated scaffolds for bone regeneration and salivary biomarkers for early oral cancer detection .
I have contributed to multiple indexed publications in recent years, reflecting my commitment to translational and clinically impactful research. In addition to my academic work, I remain actively involved in specialist clinical practice, undergraduate and postgraduate training, and academic leadership, contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance initiatives within IIUM.
