Biography: He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh at the Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia. He earned Bachelor of Shariah from the University of Malaya, Master of Arts in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from the University of Jordan, and PhD in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His research interests include Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Contract Law, Islamic Banking and Finance, Takaful, Islamic Capital Markets, and Electronic Commerce.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Shariah, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, 1991; Master in Fiqh & Usul al-Fiqh, University of Jordan, Amman, 1996; PhD in Islamic Revealed Knowledge & Heritage, International Islamic University Malaysia, 2004.
