Abstract

The longest verse of the Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah, Chapter Two Verse 282 which is also known as آية الدين ayat ad-dayn or آية المداينة ayat al-mudayanah is normally translated as the verse of debt or the verse of loan. Reading through several English translations of the Qur’an via Tannzil.net, the word dayn is generally translated as debt in most translations.
