Abstract

The purpose of the research is to highlight the Obligatory Bequest cases in the state of Selangor Malaysia, to explain the analyses of the enactment regarding the Obligatory Bequest section 27 Muslim Wills (Selangor) Enactment 1999, and to ensure whether the application is in accordance with the Syariah Law. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the law of Obligatory Bequest; and the researchers reached some valuable results that there is an urgent need for the Islamic Religious Council of Selangor (MAIS) to correct the legal articles related to the Obligatory Bequest under section (27) in terms of specifying the special terms between "grandchildren" or "children", and the age set for the beneficiary.
