Abstract

Bangladesh is one of the countries in the world that have most of its citizens practising Islam. Many preachers and religious organisations are ejecting Islamic values and principles in the country, which have Muslims as a majority community. Despite the widespread of Islam throughout the country, there is still less focus highlighted on the issues of Muslim youths in Bangladesh. It is known that Islam has been a major religion in the country, and its principles and values are being taught and spread throughout the Muslim community. However, Bangladeshi-Muslim youths are still struggling to find their common ground in the teaching of Islam, which some of them find that they are in confusion. Consequently, Bangladesh has seen an increase of anti-Islamic groups among youths inside the country due to their misunderstanding of Islamic teaching. This present study aims to highlight and investigate the religious climate in Bangladesh through a qualitative approach. The ethnographic research technique was performed as a scoping review to narrate the religious approaches and activities among the Muslim community in Bangladesh and their perception of youth groups inside the country. Document analysis was conducted to collect the data for the analysis of this study, and these documents were gained from the government reports, literature reviews, internet, and contemporary reports. The main objective of this analysis is to gather the findings on the current approaches of the Muslim community in Bangladesh towards their youth group and to establish contemporary approaches in preaching Islam to the Bangladeshi youths based on the suggestions and comments on the current mechanism and by integrating perspective from Quranic verses on this matter.
