Abstract

The project of Special Area Plan of Genting Highland, Hulu Selangor is important in relation to the tourism development located in environmentally sensitive areas. The geographical factors indicate that it is located at hilly area of more than 1,000 meters surrounded by the forest reserve of Batang Kali. Thus, Besides, the earthquake faultline of Bukit Tinggi stretches along the study area. The historical data shows that the nearby area of Genting Highland has recorded several landslides occurrences that should be considered in the study. This inception report will lead to the analysis of the site covering many sectors, namely land use, infrastructure, road network, environment, disaster risk management and tourism,
