Abstract
This research seeks to address some of the character traits of a God-conscious economist based on the story of Prophet Yusuf/Joseph (PBUH) as a model considering the successful and efficient methods that he adopted to solve problems due to drought in his time. The research adopts the inductive approach by tracing the relevant parts in the story of Prophet Yusuf (PBUH). It also employs the analytical method to classify the information contained in this story, as well as to derive the traits that should reflect the character of the God-conscious economist. The research has discovered several significant characteristics of a God-conscious economist which should be emulated by Muslim economists who aspire to follow in the footsteps of the Prophets.
