Abstract
Throughout these three months of responding to a variety of social issues that were brought about by the COVID-19 Global pandemic in Malaysia, there are concerns relating to the online tension building among different social groups. My discussion focuses on the issue of hate speech and online racism towards the migrant and refugee communities and why these issues matter online as much as they do matter offline even before this pandemic.
