Abstract
Journalism as a profession has no choice but to conform to the evolution and embrace the digitalization and automation of Industry 4.0. In order to prepare for the future journalists in Malaysia to face these challenges, the present journalism practitioners distinguish the knowledge, attitude and skills that the future journalists must have. This paper presents the quantitative data collected from the survey questionnaire of 85 journalisms practitioners in Malaysia news industry. It compares the levels of knowledge, attitude and skills that they perceived to have and the future journalists should have. It also discusses the challenges faced by the present journalists.
