Abstract

Through analytical and textual methods, this paper aims to offer analytical study of managerial ethics from an Islamic perspective, and to expose the foundational genesis of its conceptual framework and scope. To present the Islamic understanding of the subject, the Qur’anic terms and the Prophetic pronouncements related to the subject are exposed, and the opinions of the Muslim exegetes of the Qur’an and that of Muslim jurists related to the subject are unveiled. Managerial ethics according to the contemporary theories of management is also highlighted, and short comparison between the two understandings is offered.
