Abstract
This research looks into the potential to promote Brunei as a predominantly Muslim country, as a special area for tourist attractions such as the landscape tourism niche. Among them is Kampung Air (the water village), the flora and fauna. The research will review case studies from all over the world including Jeju Island, South Korea. This research uses visual analysis as a method to promote perceptions from the research findings to establish the criteria for the proposal. The proposal will be based from the Islamic perspective of „leisure tourism‟ (rehla) using the variables of: Rububiyah (oneness), Tazkiya (soul purification) and Khilafa (accountability). The conclusion will propose recommendations for the future development as a contributing factor towards the end of the fellowship.
