Abstract
Up before the tsunami struck Malaysia in 2014, there was a lack of evidence of nurses' involvement in disaster management. Since then, despite lacking the necessary training, some of them have been asked to take part in actual events. Nurses' preparedness in disaster management is still at a moderate to lower level (Labrague et al., 2018).
