Abstract

Sustainable development is defined to meets the needs of current generations without compromising the ability of future generations Sustainable design should also have focused more on efficient seismic design methods, durability, rehabilitation and lower effect of structures under earthquake events mainly structures located at high seismic regions This paper present comprehensive study on response of planar moment resisting reinforced concrete frame ( subjected to repeated earthquakes The frames are designed considering seismic loading according to European codes Previous researches on frames under artificial repeated earthquakes strongly increased seismic demand Thus, real repeated earthquakes are employed mainly to study frames response under 14 set of repeated earthquakes records namely source to site and far field earthquakes The frames are measured in term of engineering demand parameter ( using nonlinear analysis This study discussed of the underlying issues and highlighted approaches with regards with sustainable design The outcome of this studying indicated method of assembling repeated earthquakes apparently influenced the EDPs, which delivered noteworthy finding on the responses of seismic designed frames
