Abstract
Thoracolumbar spine fractures can be treated conservatively or surgically. The treatment strategy for A3 and A4 thoracolumbar fractures without neurological deficit remains controversial. Both methods of treatment had their own advantages and disadvantages. Definitely, operative treatment provides better radiographic outcome, however, the difference between operative and conservatively treated patient in terms of clinical outcome parameters, mean duration of hospital stay and return to work was not statistically significant.
