Abstract

Bosna Bank International (BBI) is the first and only bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) and the region that operates in accordance with Islamic economic, banking and financial principles. Founded in 2000 in Sarajevo, it added unique value and hope to a country’s population that experienced one of the worst genocides in history three decades ago. The founders and major shareholders of BBI are the IsDB, Dubai Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. Thus, BBI qualifies as one of the best, if not the best, business partners in B&H.
