Abstract

Mobile Quran Applications (MQA) has become widely accessible online. The credibility of most of the online sources of MQA makes it hard for users to ascertain its authenticity. Majority of users remain skeptical of the credibility of most of the sources of online MQA. This study uses quantitative survey research methodology and examine the user’s awareness of its authenticity. Four constructs were conceptualized, hypotheses are formulated, and samples of MQA users were invited to participate in the online survey. 348 usable responses were gathered. Statistical analyses were used for the hypothesis testing. The entire variables were making a significant contribution in explaining the variance in the awareness on authenticity of mobile Quran app. Many significant positive associations among the variable are all positive. The work has contributed in developing a model suitable for examining the awareness of the authenticity of MQA.
