Abstract
Ramaḍān is the most awaited month in the Islamic calendar as shown by the following Qur`anic verse from the Office of The Mufti-Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. "O you who believe, the fasts have been enjoined upon you as they were enjoined upon those before you, so that you may be Godfearing" (Al-Baqarah: 183). Ramaḍān is considered the best month to visit masjid (mosque) as many activities organised to liven up the month. Many families take the opportunity to bring their children to experience tarāwiḥ, iftār (break-fasting) and Qiyāmullayl (staying up to perform ʿibādah) at the masjid. However, the presence of these young children may not be well received by some of the jamāʿah. This research aims to establish the insight of the parents or guardian that brings children to masjid as well as other jamāʿah. The researcher chooses Ramaḍān because more children can be observed attending masjids during this month. The method applied for this study is a quantitative survey with a structured questionnaire1 which was distributed online with random sampling approach.
