Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghafur Hamid is Professor of international law at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His research interest includes public international law, international law of the sea, international criminal law, and human rights and humanitarian law. He is a life member of the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), a Member of the Asian Society of International Law, and an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of East Asia and International Law. He has recently published the 4th edition of his seminal work: “Public International Law: A Practical Approach” by Sweet & Maxwell Asia.
